Dog Registration

The new year dog tags are available at the Town Office. Dog licenses run a calendar year and dogs need to be re-licensed by January 31 each year. You may renew your dog license any time between October 15 and January 31. After January 31 a $25 late fee per dog will be in effect. This is mandated by State Law. If you are licensing your dog for the first time and it is after February 1, there is no late fee, only the license fee.

All dogs need to be licensed upon reaching the age of 6 months in the town where it resides or after the dog has been with the family for 10 days, if adopted.

Cost for New Dog Licenses or Renewals:
• Altered (spayed or neutered): $6
• Unaltered: $11

If you are registering a new dog you will be required to show:
• Proof of a rabies vaccination
• Proof of dog's spay or neuter surgery for altered cost ($6)

If you are re-registering a dog you will be required to show:
• Proof of a rabies vaccination - check with the Town Office to see if already on file.
